THE ART OF LETTING GO

I’ve started working on this body of work several months ago and it was all about letting go of any deadlines, pressure, expectations and finding joy in the process.

It was really hot & bright in my studio this summer and I was extremely inspired by the vision I had in my mind.

The process of creating this series was delightful, I was relaxed, I was feeling free as I wasn’t even thinking if I would ever show the complete pieces to the world. I was simply lost in creativity. It was all about creating something that truly resonates with me.

I was diving into different techniques and was experimenting and trying a lot! I was mixing my perfect shades, working with the flow of fluid mediums, building beautiful layers and simply following my intuition. The process was truly pure joy to me!

It's also fascinating to see how my style has developed - I am adding black, I see more contrast, texture, flow, masculine energy in my work (while still being feminine). I like it a lot!

Maybe that's how it works when you pour your heart and passion into work, but I am so happy how the collection turned out.

DID YOU KNOW THAT..

Part of the smaller pieces was started on my holiday on my way to Finland on a ferry!

I’d took my art supplies just in case there would be time to enjoy painting and I am so glad I did. Painting on a ferry felt surreal and so unique and I enjoyed the process very much (image number 3 below) and I’ve completed all of those pieces at my studio when I was back from my trip.
